We are a working group of scientists with interest in fundamental understanding of membrane performance in aqueous solutions, with a special focus on mathematical modeling.
Our final goal is to boost the creation of a large worldwide community of scientists with interest in membrane modeling.

Membrane Society in Singapore (MEMSIS) is a non-profit organization registered with the Registry of Societies, Government of Singapore and is governed by a Board of Directors. The purposes of MEMSIS are:

To promote the interaction and exchange of ideas between researchers and practitioners in academia, government agencies or laboratories, and industry in Singapore in the area of membrane science and technology;

To promote regional and international cooperation and collaboration in the area of membrane science and technology;

To sponsor and host technical meetings, workshops and short courses in the area of membrane science and technology;

Singapore Membrane Consortium (SGMEM) enables partnerships and collaborations towards platform solutions for membrane enterprise through leveraging Singapore’s world-class research, dedicated translation and test-bedding capabilities. Our end-to-end ecosystem model hastens the development of industry-relevant technologies and innovations from both our industrial partners as well as our research institutions. Our goal: Continuous clean and sustainable solutions that make life better.​

Mission & Vision:
SGMEM has been set up as a platform to showcase Singapore’s unique ecosystem for membrane technology, and to leverage the same towards developing mutually beneficial collaborations with industrial partners. This end-to-end platform solution encompasses development of Research, Innovation and Enterprise solutions from Materials Discovery and Fabrication, to Modules and Processes, Systems Design and Integration, all the way to Pilot Testing and Optimization. We achieve this through leveraging Singapore’s world-class research, dedicated translation and test-bedding capabilities.
